Thorn sponsors The Stadium Business Design & Development Summit 2013

Thorn has once again supported The Stadium Business Design & Development Summit, which took place 9 – 11 October 2013 at the Allianz Riviera Stadium in Nice.

Opened last month, the Allianz Riviera Stadium is one of the newest stadiums in the world. It is lit with outdoor and indoor luminaires by Thorn, including Mundial, PRT, Dyana, Isaro and Chalice with Sensa controls.

Bringing together more than a hundred of the world’s top stadium designers, The Stadium Business Design & Development Summit addressed the specific needs of project teams involved in the design, construction, refurbishment and management of major sports venues. It provided an opportunity to share, debate and explore the future of sports venue design and delivery.

As well as taking an exhibition pod, Thorn Lighting’s Head of Global Lighting Applications Iain Macrae delivered a presentation on Smart Sports Lighting in a petcha kutcha format (where 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each), highlighting the key part lighting plays in great sports venues.
